Pick and Place Machine
My team and I are tasked to create an educational use of the Pick-and-Place Machine as our second-year design project. The target audience for this product would be university departments seeking to provide in-house printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and assembly services to their students. The team has designed and documented a report on this design.

Pick/Place Mechanism
I was assigned with one of my teammates to design the “picking” and “placing” mechanism in which the vacuum nozzle would “pick” and “place” a component from the reel and “place” it on the circuit board. We communicated well and design this in a relatively short time.

Nozzle Setup
This is the vacuum nozzle setup for the PNP setup. It is designed to "pick" the electrical component via suction.

Here is the design of the PNP machine. It follows the same mechanism as the 3D printer. The nozzle moves in the Cartesian coordinate system.
